The Haunting of Cinderella - Original Edition Story
It was the legend of Cinderella, who once lived in a grand mansion on the outskirts of the town.
In the quaint town of Wurzburg, there was a tale that sent shivers down the spines of young and old alike. It was the legend of Cinderella, who once lived in a grand mansion on the outskirts of the town. She was known for her beauty, grace, and kindness, but all that changed one fateful night.
The townspeople whispered of a terrible curse that had befallen Cinderella, turning her into a zombie that roamed the streets after dark. They said she sought revenge on those who had wronged her in life, and that no one could escape her vengeful wrath.
As the story went, Cinderella had been the victim of jealousy and betrayal, and her once-beautiful appearance had been twisted by the curse into something horrifying. Her once-gorgeous gown was now tattered and stained with the blood of her victims, and her once-delicate features were now twisted into a grotesque mask of rage.
The townspeople lived in fear of Cinderella’s wrath, and many claimed to have seen her stalking the streets after nightfall. Her ghoulish wails filled the air, and those unlucky enough to cross her path never returned.
The mayor of Wurzburg, a proud and stubborn man, refused to believe in such nonsense. He dismissed the claims of the townspeople as nothing more than old wives’ tales, insisting that there was a logical explanation for the disappearances.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, the townspeople were gathered in the town square for a harvest festival. Laughter filled the air as children played games and the adults enjoyed sweet treats. But as darkness fell, the mood of the crowd shifted, and a hush fell over the square.
From the shadows emerged a figure cloaked in darkness, her eyes glowing with a malevolent light. It was Cinderella, her once-beautiful features twisted into a snarl, her gown tattered and stained. The crowd gasped in terror as she let out a bone-chilling roar, and chaos erupted as people scattered in every direction.
Panic gripped the town as Cinderella’s haunting wails echoed through the streets. No one was safe from her rage, and those who had brushed off the warnings of the townspeople now cowered in fear. The mayor, his pride shattered, knew that he had to put an end to the curse of Cinderella once and for all.
He gathered the bravest men and women in town, and armed with makeshift weapons and their dwindling courage, they set out to confront the zombie haunting their town. As they ventured into the darkness, they could hear her unearthly cries growing closer and closer.
Finally, they came face to face with Cinderella, her eyes filled with an insatiable hunger. The townspeople fought with all their might, but it seemed as if nothing could defeat the cursed creature. Just when all hope seemed lost, a young girl stepped forward, her eyes filled with determination.
She looked into Cinderella’s eyes and spoke with a voice filled with empathy. "I know the pain you feel, but this is not the answer. Let go of your rage and find peace."
As she spoke, something changed in Cinderella’s eyes. The malevolent glow began to fade, and her once-terrifying form seemed to soften. With a final, mournful wail, she dissipated into the night, her curse lifted at last.
The townspeople watched in awe as the curse of Cinderella was finally broken. From that day on, Wurzburg was free from her haunting presence, and the townspeople could once again rest easy. They never forgot the terror that had gripped their town, but they also never forgot the bravery of the young girl who had shown compassion in the face of darkness. From then on, the town of Wurzburg lived in peace, and the legend of Cinderella became nothing more than a chilling memory.
